throw condition removal on some midline heros to lighten the load off of your monks. bsurge gets removed the second it hits me; its slightly annoying but i haven't had a problem with it.

Also remember to spread out so the blindness doesn't spread to nearby targets so easily. Or avoid enchantments all together.
This is especially easy to do with rangers, who should stay out of spell range with longbows, etc to releive pressure off your monks' condition removal.

Esan, I am a warrior, and I don't have a ritualist or a dervish so my heros builds kind of suck and don't feel comfortable bringing them with me.
the puppetear...what? fight fire with fire, so you want me to blind a bunch of elemental enemies? I already figured out the "don't bring a lot of mele" part, but the monks still spam condition removal.
icedwhitemocha, I see what you mean about bringing more condition removal, but if I put that on an ele hero, they will just keep spamming that instead of attacking, like I said, there are up to five of these guys spamming a skill with a four second recharge.

If your having that much trouble, let the monks do what they want (eventaully they will heal when you need it) while the nukers just take them down. Not a big deal

If you're really determined to go through that area with melee, use your heroes. Since you're in GW:EN, you've got Gwen and Vekk at least. Give them both power block/psychic distraction, cry of frustration and mistrust along with drain enchantment and power drain for energy management, and then flesh the bar out with more anti-caster stuff/utility and let them handle it. I'm aware that Vekk is an elementalist but he can interrupt almost as well as Gwen an neither one of them will let a 3/4th second cast through if you command them to sit on a target. Any damage and disruption dealt is really just a nice bonus. If some B-Surges are still getting though, see how well the computer handles draw condition and stick it on Gwen. It really sounds like the mesmer heroes would take a place like that apart too. If you haven't already looked at them, consider it.

While doing Shards of Orr (dungeon with alot of enemies with bsurge/eruption) I used sight beyond sight. 8 seconds with 15 second recharge so you can keep it up more then 50% of the time. It worked perfect for me.

Condition removal in these areas is completely worthless. Blindness is back on you the absolute instant it comes off. And I doubt interrupts even on heroes will be enough to keep the perma-blind off you either. IMO these areas really need to be reworked.

Perma blind is just a minor annoyance for a team unless a majority is melee. All you have to do is run less melee or bring counters. The only thing that needs to be reworked is the players builds.

If you have a spirit spamming rit, I highly recommend Mend Body and Soul. It's cheap, spammable, and removes all conditions. Alternately, don't rely so heavily on melee.

It's a major annoyance when every single one of your attacks miss the entire battle regardless of whether or not the rest of the team can take the opponents down.

So what if one person can't do what they normally do? I've won many fights without ever using a skill, all I did was call targets.
Having teams where not all members are needed is always a good idea in PvE. That way, if you loose someone, you can keep going.

I have found that bringing a MM hero has worked well. Unless you don't have very many minions, they can't keep them all blind and you are able to go through them fairly easily.
genofreak, like I said, I don't have a rit so I don't have many skills unlocked and have no idea how to put together a good build, so if you would be so kind as to offer up a good spirit spamming build.....
what if....
I thought about trying to interrupt them, but since interrupts have such long recharges and the skill itself recharges in 4 seconds you would only be delaying those spells.
Also, I am the only mele class that I tend to bring with me. I usually have Eve to spam blood ritual, Mhenlo to heal, the two ele henchman, Tahlkora for [skill]Restore Condition[/skill] (this works wonders with all the conditions that get slapped on you in GW:EN) another ele hero, and either Olias for minions or Gwen for interrupts or degen.

Don't let it bother you. Just stay there and let them waste time spamming blind on you. In the mean time, let your ele's and necro's nuke them into the ground. You don't have to personally beat down all enemies you come across. When I'm H/H, often I don't do more than auto attack because I'm chatting to some one. I target someone or flag my henchies and they do the rest.
